About: The Women’s Health and Employment Programme (WHEP) of Reachout is at its initiation. The programme will work in three phases throughout the course of 9 months:

Through WHEP, Reachout seeks to empower at least a thousand women who find it difficult to define who they are because of lack of support. The first phase will include awareness, counseling and sensitization regarding menstrual health and hygiene and the distribution of sanitary napkins. This will be facilitated by means of community engagements and support from advisors and medical experts. The second phase will involve capacity identification of the women engaged with and finding their skill equipment. In this phase, Reachout will attempt to collaborate with United Nations, Enanctus and other organizations where the women can be gainfully employed. In this stage, vending machines for the sanitary pads will be set up. This stage aims to empower these women financially and socially so they can afford to buy their own sanitary pads. The third phase will involve an Impact Assessment- rigorous evaluations and on-ground research for assessing the achievement of goals.
